IMPROVING THE MANAGEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS IN THE LOGISTICS SYSTEM

Abstract

Introduction. The article considers environmental aspects as an integral part of logistics processes. The principles of sustainable development and social responsibility are considered within the framework of the theory of environmental logistics. The most important direction of logistics activity becomes the issues of identification and management of logistics systems in the process of goods movement. Identification, analysis and registration of environmental aspects as a constituent part of logistics activities require special attention and overcoming organizational and economic problems concerning the development of environmentallyoriented logistics management. Materials and Methods. As a result of system analysis and integration of knowledge from different disciplines, the key problem areas of the study were identified. The main attention is paid to the choice of environmentally friendly transportation methods, optimization of logistics processes, waste management, compliance with environmental norms and standards, as well as the formation of environmental culture. Research results. The role of the environmental component of the logistics system is shown. The experience of China in the field of environmental sustainability in logistics is presented, which can serve as an example of how public policy, support for digital technologies and innovative approaches can lead to significant improvements in the field of ecology. The necessity of classifying environmental aspects of logistics activities in terms of the possibility of minimizing risks and their negative impact on the environment is substantiated. Discussion and conclusion. Emphasis is placed on the systematization of approaches to identifying negative environmental impacts of logistics processes. Among the most important measures the creation and implementation of environmental standards, as well as the application of ecology and circular supply chain principles are supposed. The peculiarities of organization of control and management of environmental aspects in logistics systems in China are disclosed.
