REGIONAL ECONOMIC POLICY AS A FACTOR OF EFFECTIVE REFORMING THE ECONOMY

Abstract

Introduction. In the context of globalization and rapid changes in the international economic arena, regional economic policy becomes the most important tool for achieving sustainable growth and local economic development. Effective reforming of the economy is impossible without taking into account the specifics and needs of individual regions, which makes the adaptation of economic policy to local conditions an integral part of this process. Materials and methods. The study used a comprehensive methodological approach combining quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis. The main sources of information were the data of official statistics, as well as research materials conducted by both international and domestic experts in the field of regional development. The method of comparative analysis was used for the empirical part of the study, which allowed us to identify the key factors contributing to the successful reforming of the economy at the regional level. Research results. The article examines the role of regional economic policy as the dominant factor of economic reform at the present stage. The main policy directions in the period from 2021 to 2023, including economic recovery after the pandemic, investment in infrastructure and the development of digital technologies, are considered. Special attention is paid to the problems and challenges of this period, such as the uneven distribution of resources, difficulties with the implementation of programs and environmental challenges. Disscussion and conclusion. The article emphasizes the need for flexibility and adaptability of regional economic policy in order to achieve sustainable and balanced economic growth, as well as improve the quality of life of the population.
