USING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TOOLS IN PROCESS OF MANAGING URBAN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

Ensuring the sustainable development of modern urban settlements should be based on taking into account long-term trends characterizing the dynamics of processes taking place in the economic, environmental and social spheres. In this context, strategic management of urban development should be focused on making decisions that combine solving current problems with ensuring sustainability in the future. This determines the importance of implementing an eco-situational approach, which helps to identify potentially dangerous situations that threaten the sustainability of this development. Information and analytical technologies play a crucial role in ensuring that this approach is followed, allowing you to process large amounts of diverse data and make management decisions that take into account the current situation and future trends in its transformation. Article proposes a model for the formation of an urban environmental information system as a basis for making these decisions, integrating a data warehouse, an analytical calculation server and a data visualization module. Thus, in modern conditions, the processing of big data and their correct analytical representation are of fundamental importance in process of ensuring the sustainable development of urban areas.
