ISSUES OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN TRANSPORT INDUSTRY: UPDATING THE DEVELOPMENT OF DEMAND FOR DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

Subject is to clarify the situation with depth of digital transformations in transport industry in Russia and prospects available in this regard. Purpose of article is to detail the forecast of increase in demand for digital technologies in transport industry with determination of possible barriers and ways to overcome them. Method: comparison of opinions of experts, specialized organizations regarding the depth of digital changes in transport industry, analysis of implemented projects, assessment of trend of growth in demand for digital technologies in industry. Results of work are of applied importance, they consist in substantiating infrastructure transformations, development of regulatory requirements and provision of financial assistance in form of activation of preferential loans for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, enterprises that have successfully implemented and/or developed in-demand digital solutions that can be scaled in industry.
