INCREASING THE SAFETY OF FUNCTIONING OF HOUSEHOLD CUTLERY USING FMEA-ANALYSIS

Abstract

Article discusses various ways to assess risks in the operation of household cutlery. The paper presents studies of the work of household can openers, which revealed cases of the occurrence of metal elements of various shapes and sizes, which are a source of increased danger. When adjusting the design of the device, a block diagram of the design and a fault tree were used, which made it possible to evaluate the quality of design elements that reduce its safety. To assess the safety of the use of can openers and improve structural elements, it was proposed to use FMEA analysis, which made it possible to recommend its use to improve the functioning of can openers.
