PROSPECTS FOR LOGISTICS DEVELOPMENT IN ROSTOV REGION

Abstract

Article presents the results of recommendations on the most attractive segments for development of logistics system of region under study, such as marketplaces and projects, including organization of temperature-controlled storage. According to methodology for calculating the deficit of warehouse space, overall deficit of warehouse space in Rostov region was determined, reasons for the growing need for warehouses were identified, specified by authors as the growth of insurance stocks in production and retail due to environmental conditions, initiating an additional need for space for storage and full-field, multi-temperature warehouses for storage of goods of Fresh category.
