Structural power arises when dominant state gains advantages in security, production, finance and knowledge through asymmetric economic exchange. Purpose of article is to analyze the interdependence of China and Russia on economic exchange in context of ensuring security in relation to external geopolitical threats and to assess the potential for further development of economic ties in Asian countries. Results of analysis demonstrate the value of using the concept of structural power to analyze the bilateral relations between China and Russia, as well as their impact on the level of economic security of Asian countries both at systemic and national levels.
