AIR TRANSPORTATION AS THE MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT OF RUSSIA

Abstract

In modern conditions, progressive development of air transportation sector is acquiring strategic importance. Article analyzes statistical data on volume of passenger traffic through Russian airports from 2015 to 2020. It was concluded that drop in volume of services rendered by the air transportation sector led to the contraction of this market segment, which negatively affected the related segments of activities of aviation enterprises, organizations for maintenance and repair of aviation equipment, airports, etc. Author proposes ways to solve these problems through a more active and flexible use of public-private partnership instruments.
