HIGHWAYS AS A FACTOR OF ENSURING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL AREAS OF ROSTOV REGION

Abstract

Article considers the role of transport infrastructure for sustainable development of rural areas. Concept of «sustainable development» is studied from the standpoint of foreign and domestic economic literature. Analysis of current state of roads in rural areas of Russian regions is carried out. The main ways to ensure sustainable development of rural areas through the development of road infrastructure are identified on example of Rostov region.
