THE IMPORTANCE AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT CORRIDORS IN THE CONTEXT OF GEOPOLITICAL CHANGES

Abstract

Introduction. The article examines the problems of logistics integration in international transport systems, the modern structural framework of which is represented by international transport corridors. It is noted that their functioning influences the economic and logistics indicators of both individual participants in foreign economic activity and national economies as a whole. Materials and methods. The study is based on the analysis of scientific publications and modern approaches to the functioning of international transport and logistics systems, as well as on the generalization of practices for organizing cross-border logistics processes. Research results. It has been established that international transport and logistics systems form the basis for global goods movement, ensuring the interaction of geographically remote economies and facilitating the development of foreign trade. It is shown that the development of sustainable infrastructure of transport corridors contributes to an increase in the level of logistics integration of world markets. Key trends in the development of international transport corridors are highlighted, including the growth of transportation volumes, increased interaction between various modes of transport and stricter requirements for the quality of logistics services. Discussion and conclusion. The digital transformation of the transport and logistics sector is considered a factor in increasing the efficiency and security of inter-national transport systems. Based on an analysis of the characteristics of cross-border logistics networks, priority areas for the development of international transport corridors have been identified, aimed at increasing their integration potential and effectiveness in a global economy.
