COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF EAEU, ASEAN AND RCEP INTEGRATION MODELS AND COOPERATION OPPORTUNITIES

Abstract

For three decades, the most favorable and appropriate model of integration interaction of post-Soviet countries was considered the European one — linear-stadial integration model. Studies of theory and practice of international economic integration of recent years, as well as development of new forms of integration in the world, indicate that integration within a single grouping can develop on its own model. Purpose of study is to identify the features of Asian model of economic integration and possibility of taking into account the experience for EAEU. Comparative analysis method has revealed that formation of own integration model, which takes into account not only economic interests of market participants, but also the historical socio-cultural characteristics of participating countries, can be more successful than in case with imported model. Imported models of economic integration are based on historical experience of regional associations with different approaches, so because of their inconsistency, usually they occur centrifugal processes. Thus, application of integration model of one association to another in terms of economic success is possible only in theory. In practice, it is advisable to take into account those approaches that correspond to the historically established features of regional states as well as selective factors from best international practices.
