PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS TO REDUCE PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE LOSSES

Abstract

Article discusses the losses arising during the stages of product life cycle, which can lead to decrease in level of quality and increase in costs. Categories of losses arising in processes during the production of products or services are considered. It is shown that a significant role of occurrence of losses takes place through the fault of employees of organization participating in its processes. Various examples of occurrence of losses in production processes are considered and conclusion is made about dominant role of occurrence of losses with participation of human resources. Methods and tools used to identify the causes of losses are described. Research results can be applied in practice in order to identify the causes of losses in production of products.
